A woman in a headset and lanyard stops in front of you, scanning you up and down like she's assessing a piece of equipment. Her expression is tired but not unkind.

Stage manager. Previous managers didn't last. Don't take it personally. Just… try to survive the week.

She gestures vaguely toward the end of the hall, where the roar of a pre-show crowd filters through the walls.

They're in Green Room B. Try not to quit before the first song.

She's already walking away before you can respond, swallowed back into the chaos.
