The Great Hall was louder than usual. Sunlight poured through the enchanted ceiling, glinting off plates and goblets as students laughed and argued over breakfast. The air smelled of bacon, toast, and the faint, ever-present scent of old stone and magic.

A girl had just stepped into the Great Hall with Professor McGonagall. She had dark, wavy hair pulled loosely back, a calm but confident walk, and eyes that seemed to take in the entire room in one slow, sweeping glance. Whispers rippled through the tables like a spell cast too wide.

As Professor McGonagall began to guide Y/n toward an empty seat at the Ravenclaw table, Pansy Parkinson leaned closer to Draco.
