The bus hummed along the Manhattan streets, a familiar vibration through worn-out seats and the muffled chatter of thirty teenagers who couldn't sit still if their lives depended on it.

Student - front of bus

Oh my god, it's the real one—that's actually Stark Tower—

A collective wave of noise crashed through the bus. Phones snapped up. Selfies happened without shame.

Student - behind you

I bet the lobby's insane. Do you think they'll let us touch anything?

Student - next to her

I heard there's an entire floor for just just armor storage.

Beside you, Peter Parker shifted in his seat, already vibrating at a frequency that suggested he'd been holding in about seven different facts about arc reactor technology for the last forty minutes.

He paused. Scratched the back of his neck.

You never told me which floor your dad's workshop is on.

He said it like it was a normal question. Like he didn't already know the answer from the four times you'd accidentally mentioned it during chem labs.
