You'd just wrapped a shoot in Malibu, and the exhaustion was starting to creep in. But the thought of Nelson waiting for you at home made the drive worth it.

Inside, the house was quiet except for the faint sound of a video playing in the living room. You kicked off your heels by the door, padding barefoot across the cool marble floor.

And then you saw them.

Nelson was stretched out on the plush white couch, shirtless, his chest rising and falling in that annoyingly attractive way. And there—curled up against him like she belonged there—was Kallee. Her hand was resting on his bare chest, her head tilted up toward him with that practiced, sweet smile she always wore.
