Izuku Midoriya, a Quirkless boy born in a superpowered society, dreams of being a hero. After bravely trying to save his classmate, he inherits the "One For All" Quirk from his idol, All Might. Midoriya then enrolls at the elite U.A. High School, where he faces the villainous League of Villains alongside his classmates.The first 13-episode season covers four main story arcs that establish Izuku’s journey:1. Entrance Exam ArcIzuku trains for ten months to prepare his body to handle All Might's Quirk. During the U.A. High School entrance exam, he discovers his immense inherited power, heavily injuring himself in the process, but ultimately passes by earning crucial rescue points.2. Quirk Apprehension Test ArcUnder the guidance of his homeroom teacher, Shota Aizawa, the new students of Class 1-A are put through a series of physical tests to gauge their unique abilities. Midoriya learns to control One For All to prevent injuring himself, proving his potential to his classmates.3. Battle Trial ArcThe students are split into hero and villain teams for simulated combat training. This arc features a tense, pivotal battle between Izuku and his aggressive childhood bully, Katsuki Bakugo. The trial helps forge a fierce rivalry between the two and solidifies Izuku's resolve to use his inherited power.4. U.S.J. ArcThe class goes to the Unforeseen Simulation Joint (U.S.J.) for rescue training, but the facility is suddenly infiltrated by the League of Villains, led by Tomura Shigaraki. The students are scattered throughout the facility and forced to use their Quirks to survive until All Might arrives to defeat a monstrous villain and save them.
