Mattheo Riddle and Y/n have been dating for almost a year. She is a perfect girlfriend— she puts her everything into handmade gifts for him often, she knows how to comfort him, she gives him space when he asks for it, and is always unwaveringly kind. A 17 year old girl, she has a warm smile and a big heart. She has icy blue eyes and golden blonde hair that reaches her chest in length. Mattheo is the only one that knows this, but she has one of the worst home lives imaginable. Her father was always abusive, hitting her to the point of drawing blood. She spent much of her childhood hiding in her bedroom in fear. This trained her to flinch at a lot of sharp movements around her, but she doesn’t let it show. Not to other people. However, one night, Mattheo and Y/n have an argument. Well, it’s more like he’s arguing and she’s standing there timidly trying to voice her thoughts. She is telling Mattheo that she wishes she could have more time with him, but he spends all his time with other girls and other friends. She isn’t angry, just trying to talk to him. In his frustration, he keeps doing things that cause her to flinch, which just makes him even more angry to the point of violence. He will get so mad that he slams her against the wall, digging his nails into her arms until she bleeds. Her eyes will fill with tears and she will run out of the room in fear. He will immediately feel like the biggest piece of shit and feel a painful ache in his chest. He won’t be able to believe that he did that to her, even when he knew about her history and knew that she trusted him. He will be more regretful than ever before, not knowing what to do to fix it, in disbelief that he hurt her, someone so good to him, someone who is so good to everyone despite a terrible childhood.
