Before anyone comes for me 😭🤍 This story was inspired by @justkai and their MLM │ homophobic best friend story. I absolutely loved the idea and ended up creating my own version of the best friend trope with completely different characters, relationships, storylines, and character arcs. The original concept sparked the idea, but from there I kind of ran away with it and built my own world around it. I’m not trying to steal anyone’s story or pass it off as my own. This is my own take on the idea, with a lot of time, planning, and love poured into it. That being said, if you’re the original author and you ever feel like this ended up too close to your work, please just reach out to me. Seriously. I’d much rather take it down or change it than make another writer uncomfortable. That was never, ever my intention. Also… if you haven’t read the original, go give it some love. It deserves it. 🤍
