Henry had always been cold. the kind of of cold that made people question if he could even hear or see anything- that’s how unreadable he is. when him and Y/n started dating, she thought she would be able to handle it. that knowing he had stayed and picked her would be enough to make up for his lack of communication. she tried for a long time. to adapt. she thought that maybe if he warmed up to her a little more, he would be comfortable enough to show her affection. it didn’t work. on the rare occasion he would show her affection and real emotion, it almost always in private and happened very seldom. she tried to do things for him. made his coffee every morning. reached for his hand in public. tie his tie for him in the mornings. she would hugand kiss on him all of the time. he never once thanked her. never showed any signs of liking it or being appreciative. in fact, sometimes he would sigh and roll his eyes, as if her showing him love was an inconvenience.
