His right hand signed with mechanical precision. His left arm cradled Naruto against his shoulder, the infant's small form shifting restlessly. A bottle of warm milk was wedged between two fingers at an awkward angle, tilted just enough to keep the baby pacified for a few more moments.

Minato adjusted his grip. Shifted Naruto higher. Twisted the bottle. The crying paused, then resumed—louder, more insistent.
