Y/n Gilbert lives alone with her little brother, Jeremy Gilbert. Shes a senior in high school, Jeremy is a junior. She’s a cheerleader, has straight A’s and works at the Mystic Grill. Her parents passed away in a car crash off Wickery Bridge into the river 2 years ago, she was in the car with them but some how got out of the car and survived. On her night off she’s hanging out with her friends Caroline and Bonnie at Mystic Grill. Jeremy is at home with his friend, Tyler. While y/n and her friends are getting drinks, two tall mysteriously handsome strangers walk in, its the Salvatore brothers they just moved into town….or moved back. They walk over and act like normal people sitting and talking with y/n and her friend’s. Stephan says something about starting school as a senior tomorrow. After Bonnie leaves to go home Caroline offers to take Stephan on a tour around Mystic Falls, y/n offers to take Damon. After a while y/n finds out her whole life was a lie and that the ‘stories’ of vampires, werewolves and all other supernatural things like witches are real.
