Class 1-A is training in Gym Gamma when a sudden warp opens above them, pulling the class through it. They are thrown out into a ruined city where civilians are being contained and another disaster is unfolding. In the distance, a massive faceless witch draped in black veils and surrounded by minions is attacking. A group of four magical girls—Akemi, Kokona, Mizuki, and their leader Kyoko—are battling the witch, unaware of Class 1-A’s arrival. During the fight, all but Kyoko collapse.
