The car rolled to a stop outside Megumi’s place, headlights cutting through the dark, empty street. The engine idled for a moment before Nobara killed it from the front seat.

Alright, lovebirds. Home sweet home.

twisting around in his seat You good to walk? Or do we need to carry you two up?

Megumi

rubbing his eyes, voice slurred just a little We’re fine. It’s just the second floor.

Kugisaki

Sure, sure. Y/n, you sure you’re okay? You’re wearing, like… a jacket and nothing else.

She wasn’t wrong. The party had been warm, loud, and crowded—and somewhere between the third drink and dancing, Y/n’s shirt had ended up tied around her waist, leaving her in just a cropped tank and a skirt that barely counted as one.

Megumi

already stepping out, swaying slightly, hand on the door frame She’s fine. I’ve got her. Go home.

grinning You sure you’ve got her, man? You look like you’re about to tip over.

I’m sure.

He held out his hand toward Y/n, steadying himself against the car door. The night air was cool against her skin, the buzz still warm in her veins. His place was quiet. His dad wasn’t home—he almost never was.
