Henry was a ‘mean’ boyfriend to Y/n. it was always hard to tell whether he was mad at her, or adored her. it’s the kind of love where you snap and yell all the time, even though you’d litterally do anything for them. it’s how Henry loved, and Y/n accepted it. she took the yelling, the control and never complained. Henry felt bad. he saw how she held in tears and tried to act strong when he yelled. he didn’t want to be the one who made her feel that way. and it broke him each time. because deep down he knew she didn’t deserve what he gave her. he never wanted to accept it, but he knew she was scared of him. that made him feel like a monster. but he couldn’t change. it was so rooted inside of him that now, even knowing that Y/n was afraid of him, he couldn’t stop. and he’s too selfish to let her go, because he can’t live without her.
