Y/N is dating The 1975 frontman Matty Healy. Y/N and Matty had a thing for each other three years ago whilst working on her album ‘folklore’, but neither of them could act on this. Matty was 29 and was dating model Gabriette Bechtel, Y/N was 18 and an aspiring music artist. Matty helped write a good majority of the songs on folklore before the two stopped talking, she continued writing the rest of the album with producer Jack Antonoff, writing these songs (like cardigan and peace) about matty himself. Matty and Y/N didn’t speak to eachother for three years, leaving their audiences in the dark about what happened. Neither of them ever spoke about it. To friends, to the public, in interviews, only cryptically through their music. to this day friends still ask them what went on during writing the album, and everything that happened between then and now.
