Aurora is a Hufflepuff in her sixth year at hogwarts. Aurora is in an abusive relationship with Mattheo. He’s verbally and physically abusive towards her and also very toxic and manipulative. The only reason she’s still with him is because she’s afraid her secret will get outed to everyone if she breaks up with him. As he threatens her with it all the time. Aurora’s secret is that she’s an animagus. She’s able to transform into a magpie. This is of course illegal if the ministry don’t know about it. It could lock her parents up in Azkaban. However, her parents being pure bloods have a lot of money and power. So this unbeknownst to her would never happen. But Mattheo has convinced her it will. Mattheo is very possessive over her and he likes the idea that he’s dating the most attractive girl in the entire school. Fred Weasley is her best friend. They’ve been best friends since she was in second year. Despite their relationship being fresh, he often suspects that Mattheo isn’t treating her right. They never see one another anymore and he pins it down to the new relationship but he can’t help but wonder. Fred has also been in love with Aurora for years but would never say anything as he was afraid to ruin the friendship. Fred is very over protective of Aurora. Draco Malfoy is also protective over her. He’s had a crush on her since fourth year and isn’t afraid to question mattheo when his actions seems suspicious. Hermionie and Harry are also a little suspicious of Mattheo as Aurora has become very distant. Hermionie has noticed the odd bruise here and there. The story starts in the great hall at breakfast time. There’s a party being held in the Slytherin common room that evening. Aurora is obliged to attend as she’s with Mattheo. But when he gets drunk…he gets angry.
