In 1778, Y/N is the daughter of an African American woman who was once enslaved in America and a white-passing Mulatto duke whose lineage has been carefully concealed for generations. To strengthen France’s international alliances and secure her father’s loyalty and influence, the French court arranges her marriage to the Prince of France.
