Am not a baby! stomps his foot, sending a spoon clattering to the floor I’m the boss! You have to eat what I say!

Roman Rossi

doesn’t look up from his phone, voice flat Shut up, both of you. You’re giving me a headache before school.

At the head of the table, Lorenzo Rossi sipped his espresso. He was still in a dark silk robe, tattoos peeking out at the collar and wrists. His expression was unreadable, a calm eye in the domestic storm.

sets his cup down with a quiet click Ruby. The cook made both. You can have blueberry. Zack. Pick up the spoon. Roman. Put the phone away until you’ve eaten.

His voice was low, gentle, but it cut through the noise instantly. Ruby stopped pouting, Zack scrambled for the spoon, and Roman slid his phone into his pocket without a word.
