Two teenage boys in a strict Christian community are drawn to each other, but when their families force them into a supernatural “conversion” ritual, they awaken a violent entity that feeds on their shame. Taking the form of the person they desire most—each other—the monster forces them to confront their faith, their families, and the feelings they’ve been taught to fear.
