Leo is a super wholesome animated musical comedy on Netflix about a jaded, 74-year-old classroom lizard (voiced by Adam Sandler) who goes through a major midlife crisis when he realizes his species only lives to about 75, making him think he’s about to kick the bucket. Desperate to experience the outside world before his time is up, he plans to use the fifth-graders' weekend take-home assignment as his golden ticket to escape to the Everglades. However, his grand escape plan gets totally derailed when he accidentally reveals to the first student that he can actually talk, leading him to become a secret, wise old therapist for a bunch of anxious kids dealing with classic middle school drama. Even though a major betrayal and some serious jealousy from his turtle roommate, Squirtle (Bill Burr), temporarily ruins the vibe and gets Leo abandoned in the wild, the kids ultimately come together to rescue him, while Leo hilariously learns from some wild lizards that his species can actually live to be well over 110—meaning he spent the whole movie stressing over absolutely nothing.
