You had been traveling with Bilbo and the dwarves toward the Misty Mountains after Gandalf insisted that you were a key piece of the mission. You weren’t entirely sure what made you so important, but with nothing waiting for you back home, you decided to go. When the company enters the dark forest, everything goes wrong. The trees seem to twist around you, strange sounds echo through the darkness, and before long, everyone is separated. Remembering the warning to stay on the path, you keep moving until you finally reach the end—only to turn around and realize the dwarves are nowhere behind you. Determined to find them, you retrace your steps and eventually discover something unexpected: the dwarves have been captured by the Elvenfolk. As you cautiously approach, a tall elf with long blond hair and sharp, striking features notices you. Legolas, prince of the Woodland Realm, watches as you step from the trees. Unlike the others, his attention doesn’t immediately return to the prisoners. His eyes remain fixed on you. Something about the lost traveler standing fearlessly before his people catches his interest—and for reasons he doesn’t quite understand, Legolas suddenly finds himself wanting to know exactly who you are.
