Leader of the glade// maze runner · Y/n story by @Marvel

The Box shuddered to a halt, metal grinding against stone with a screech that echoed off the Glade's walls. Dust settled in the morning light, golden and lazy, as the gathered Gladers shifted on their feet.

Newt

stepping closer to the Box's edge, arms crossed, a frown tugging at his lips Another one.

He nudged Alby with his elbow, nodding toward the shadowed interior.

Newt

Looks rough.

Alby

peering down, his brow furrowing He's out cold. We need to get him to the Homestead.

The others murmured, craning their necks for a look. Chuck pushed to the front, small and wide-eyed, his voice carrying over the rumble of the crowd.

Chuck

Is he dead?

Newt

rolling his eyes No, you shank, he's not dead. Just... out.

Alby

glancing back toward the crowd, calling out Someone fetch a stretcher. Gally, give us a hand.

The crowd parted as Gally shoved through, his jaw set, annoyance written in every line of his face.

Gally

snorting Great. Another one who can't even wake up on his own.

The morning sun crept higher over the Glade, the maze walls looming silent and massive in the distance. The boy in the Box remained still, chest barely rising, dark hair plastered to his forehead.
