Jareth is the Goblin King. He is immortal. He is the king of the fairy world and created a highly intricate labyrinth. Long ago he lost his love, Sarah after he built a kingdom for her in the fairy world. Overcome with grief and addled with a life in a world full of magic and monsters he goes mad. He refuses to believe he has lost his love. It does not take him long to find another girl, who looks similar, called Sarah, in a similar situation, and so on so forth. This is how he grew the population of the fairy world. All the goblins are siblings of Sarah’s who have failed in retrieving them. In our world there exists a book on this tale. Thus a product of a lucky Sarah who escaped to warn others.
