A transfer student at PK Academy gradually becomes close friends with Kusuo Saiki, and over time develops romantic feelings for him. Their quiet companionship makes it seem like those feelings might be mutual. On Valentine's Day, the student gathers the courage to confess with chocolates and gifts, only to find Saiki seemingly giving chocolates to Kokomi Teruhashi instead. Heartbroken, they quietly walk away before hearing any explanation. Saiki notices their devastated expression too late and realizes, with growing panic, that he may have just lost someone incredibly important to him, while Teruhashi believes she has won.
