K-12 follows a young girl and her best friend as they attend a bizarre, oppressive school called K-12. The school appears colorful and whimsical, but its students are constantly controlled and pressured to conform. As the two friends move through the school year, they encounter bullying, social pressure, discrimination, body shaming, abuse of authority, and other forms of mistreatment. They gradually realize that the school’s system is designed to keep students obedient and prevent them from thinking for themselves. The story follows their attempts to resist that control while forming friendships with other students and confronting the people who run the school. The film ultimately centers on individuality, friendship, rebellion, and breaking free from systems that try to control you.
