Jujutsu Kaisen follows Yuji Itadori, a high school student with freakish physical abilities who lives an ordinary life. His world shatters after his grandfather passes away, leaving him with a final wish to protect others. That same night, Yuji’s occult club accidentally unseals a rotting, high-grade cursed object. This action attracts malicious monsters known as "Curses"—monstrous physical manifestations of negative human emotions. To save his new friends from being slaughtered, Yuji makes the desperate decision to swallow the object, which is the finger of Ryomen Sukuna, the legendary and malevolent King of Curses.Instead of dying from the deadly poison, Yuji manages to retain control over his body, acting as a living vessel for Sukuna. This rare ability catches the attention of the Jujutsu Sorcerers, a secret society of shamans who exorcise Curses to protect humanity.
