It’s Tulsa Oklahom, 1943, during world war ll. A lot of men have went away to fight for the country. For women, they are supposed to be domesticated. Clean, cook for their husband and do farm work and look cute. But that wasn’t the case for y/n. She’s strong, independent. Loves baseball and plays it every chance she gets. But she’s got to play with guys because all the girls were snoopy and classy. And the guys would mess with her. She was a senior about to graduate. And her mother hated the way she was. She wanted y/n to be a women. Polite, respectful. But that wasent her. Y/n’s brother went with the other men to serve. So it’s just her and her mother, her father left when she was little. She didn’t have any friends that was girls. And she didn’t have friends that were guys. But one day, she was hitting a base ball over and over again, and hit it really far, and a guy brought it back for her. Johnny Cade. She knew him. He never showed up to school. He was cute. Sweet. But she couldn’t trust a guy after being picked on by every guy she knew and all guys leaving her life. At least that’s what she thought. Little did she know that, that would change her life forever.
