At Hogwarts, there are six names that are almost never spoken separately: Allyson Morgan, Theodore Nott, Mattheo Riddle, Draco Malfoy, Pansy Parkinson, and Blaise Zabini.

@imalllllllywbuThe Slytherin common room was quiet. Too quiet. The fire crackled low in the grate, casting long shadows across the velvet couches. Midday sun filtered through the green-tinted windows of the Black Lake, but the warmth didn’t reach the corner where Allyson Morgan sat.
She’d found it on her bed. A folded piece of parchment, sealed with a familiar wax stamp. No name. No warning. Just that stupid, perfect cursive she’d know anywhere.
Her hands were shaking as she unfolded it.
Allyson Morgan
reading, voice barely above a whisper "Allyson—I always knew this wasn’t going to be forever. I care about you, I do. But my family made a decision, and I’m not in a position to argue with it. I’m leaving for Durmstrang today. Please don’t try to contact me. I know you’ll find a way to be okay. You always do. —Asher."
She read it twice. Then a third time. The second time, her throat closed up. The third time, the words blurred together into a single, watery smudge.
She didn’t cry. Not yet. She just sat there, perfectly still, the letter crumpled in her fist like she could squeeze the betrayal out of it.
Pansy Parkinson
striding into the common room, stopping dead Ally? What the fuck is that?
Allyson looked up. Her face was pale, her green eyes glassy, and her lips parted like she was about to say something. But nothing came out.
Pansy Parkinson
moving closer, voice dropping Ally. You’re scaring me. What happened?
Allyson Morgan
holding up the letter, voice flat Read it.
Pansy snatched it, scanning the words in seconds. Her expression shifted from confusion to disbelief to pure rage faster than a Bludger.
Pansy Parkinson
That absolute bastard.
The fire cracked. Somewhere down the corridor, a door slammed. And then the common room door opened again.
Theodore Nott
pausing in the doorway, taking in the scene What's going on?
Pansy Parkinson
crumpling the letter in her hand Asher left. He's gone. Transferred to fucking Durmstrang. He left her a letter.
Theodore Nott
going still What?
Teddy’s voice was quiet. Controlled. But his jaw tightened, and his dark eyes fixed on Allyson, reading her like a book he’d memorized years ago.
Behind him, the door swung wider. Draco and Blaise walked in, mid-argument about something mundane—Quidditch tactics, maybe—and stopped dead the second they saw the tension in the room.
Draco Malfoy
eyes flicking between them Alright, what the hell is going on?
Blaise Zabini
already scanning the scene, his sharp gaze landing on the letter in Pansy's hand Don't tell me the American did something stupid.
Theodore Nott
low, dangerous He left. For Durmstrang.
Silence. Heavy. Loud.
Draco Malfoy
after a long pause You're joking.
Pansy didn't laugh. Draco’s face darkened.
Mattheo Riddle
from the doorway, voice rough, barely a whisper Where is she?
Everyone turned. Mattheo stood half-in, half-out of the common room, still wearing his jacket like he'd just walked in from outside. His dark hair was messier than usual, his knuckles white around the strap of his bag. He wasn’t looking at anyone else.
He was looking at Allyson. And the look in his dark eyes wasn’t anger. Not yet. It was something quieter. Something that hurt more.
Theodore Nott
stepping aside She's right there, mate.
Mattheo Riddle
walking past them all, slow, like he was approaching something fragile Ally?
She didn’t look at him. Her gaze stayed fixed on the fire, her voice small and hollow.
Allyson Morgan
He left me a letter. Like I was a chore he had to finish before he moved on.
Mattheo Riddle
stopping a few feet away, voice soft He’s a fucking coward.
Allyson Morgan
laughing bitterly, still not looking at him Yeah. Guess I'm just really good at picking them.
The silence stretched. Draco shifted uncomfortably. Blaise ran a hand through his hair. Pansy looked like she wanted to punch something—or someone.
Mattheo Riddle
slowly moving closer No. You're good at picking the ones who leave. That's different.
Something in her face cracked. Almost imperceptible. But Mattheo saw it.
Mattheo Riddle
You're gonna be okay.
Allyson Morgan
finally looking at him, voice breaking Don't. Don't do that. Don't tell me I'm gonna be okay. I don't need that. I need—I need—
She didn't finish. She just sat there, chest heaving, two tears finally escaping down her cheeks.
Mattheo Riddle
kneeling in front of her, so his eyes were level with hers Then don't say it. Just sit here. We'll sit with you.
He didn't touch her. He didn't have to. His presence alone was enough, a solid anchor in the middle of her collapsing world.
Behind them, Draco and Pansy exchanged a look. Theodore moved to close the door. Blaise sat down on the armrest of the couch, silent, present.
Pansy Parkinson
after a long moment, quietly We're not leaving you alone. Ever. You know that, right?
Allyson's chin trembled. She nodded, barely.
The fire crackled. The water outside the windows shifted, green and dark and still.
Allyson Morgan
whispering I really thought he was different.
Mattheo Riddle
his voice almost too quiet to hear I know.
For a long time, no one said anything else. They just stayed. The five of them, crowded into the common room corner like a shield around her.
And in a way, maybe that was what Allyson needed more than the words she wouldn't ask for.
