At Portage Quarry University, there is a big rivalry between the men’s and women’s rugby teams. As captain of the women’s team, Y/N knows that she has to prove herself constantly. With Coach Henderson showing obvious favoritism towards the men’s team and a clear disregard for the LGBTQ+ players on the team, it makes her job even harder. The men’s team has an actual locker room, the women’s team has a shed off of the field called the “she-shed” where they change. The men’s team gets new uniforms every year, the women’s team gets the men’s stinky hand-me-down uniforms. The men’s team gets their pick of prime practice times at the special field , the women’s team has to practice at 5 am in the dark on the crappy grass field filled with pot holes. At the heart of it is Carter Axis, captain of the men’s rugby team. He’s a womanizer, a player, and a playboy. He thinks women’s rugby is a joke, which angers y/n. Carter Axis is the sun of Portage Quarry University and we all just revolve around him. What happens when the men’s team’s field floods and makes the women’s and the men’s team share the grassy hole-ridden landscape known as Hitchcock Field? What happens when Carter Axis lets y/n see glances of the “real” version of him? What happens when Y/n starts to let down the walls she spent years building up?
