If Wishes Could Kill · Y/n story by @edinaspamm

Seorin High School, third period. The classroom hums with the usual rhythm—scraping chairs, shuffling papers, the low murmur of students who'd rather be anywhere else.

Choi Hyeon-wook

slams his hands on the desk, grinning wide Yo, check this out.

A few heads turn. Hyeon-wook holds up his phone like it's a trophy, screen facing his neighbors. The classroom's attention shifts lazily, expecting another meme or a funny video.

Lim Na-ri

leans over, curious What now?

Choi Hyeon-wook

Found this weird app on my phone this morning. No icon, no download history. Just… there.

Kim Geon-woo

raises an eyebrow, not looking up from his notebook Probably some adware. Delete it before it steals your data.

Choi Hyeon-wook

Nah, man. Look.

He tilts the screen toward Geon-woo. The black display is empty except for a single line of white text, glowing faintly like a heartbeat.

Lim Na-ri

snorts Cute. What's it gonna do, grant it?

Choi Hyeon-wook

I dunno. But my phone's acting weird. Check yours.

A few students instinctively pull out their phones. Some laugh it off. Others go quiet, eyes scanning icons, swiping through apps.

Choi Hyeon-wook

grins See? Told you. It's spreading.

In the corner of the room, someone drops their phone. The clatter is sharp, sudden. The class goes still for a second.

Kim Geon-woo

folds his arms, looking at Hyeon-wook This a prank?

Choi Hyeon-wook

raises his hands, innocent I'm not that creative.

The teacher's voice cuts through from the front of the room, calling for quiet, saying something about today's assignment. The moment disperses like smoke.

Choi Hyeon-wook

muttering under his breath Weird.

Geon-woo glances around the room, jaw tight. He doesn't reach for his own phone.
