delilah works in a laundromat stuck in school and routine - lion kaminski and stan kaminski walk in to steam clothes for a fight - lion notices her and keeps looking back when stan isnt watching - he starts coming back more often with excuses about missing items and last minute steaming - stan treats it like business and survival - lion is quieter and clearly not fully in the fight world anymore - delilah feels stuck in her own life and lion starts feeling like an escape from his - lion gets injured hands from fighting and starts pulling away from the ring - he finds the right contacts and becomes a boxing coach working legit money - he starts helping delilah see she can leave her life too - delilah starts changing her path and stepping out of the laundromat world - the relationship grows intense but unstable as lion struggles with identity outside fighting and coaching - lion cheats during a moment of confusion and disconnection and it breaks them apart - delilah cuts him off and finally builds her own independence - lion realises what he lost and goes back to find her - they reconnect after time apart changed and older and unsure but still drawn to each other.lion is a bare knuckle fighter so he is in pain a lot of the time. lion kaminski is the quieter more observant brother - in the film stan kaminski is the dominant one loud controlling and focused on survival through fighting - lion is more withdrawn and internal like he is always thinking two steps ahead but never fully present in the moment - he fights well but not with enjoyment more like instinct and necessity rather than pride - stan treats the fighting life like a job and a way to keep them afloat while lion starts to feel trapped inside it - lion is physically strong but emotionally distant often watching things rather than speaking up - he does not argue much with stan but there is constant tension because stan wants him to stay in line and lion is slowly drifting away from it all - his hands start to deteriorate from repeated damage which he hides badly because he does not want to look weak - underneath it all lion is exhausted by the life they are in and quietly questioning how long he can keep going before he breaks completely.
