I’m one of the university’s most promising figure skaters, with a collection of medals and trophies from competitions that have already made my name well known in the skating world. Dedication and discipline have shaped me; while most of my peers are drawn to parties, late nights, and distractions, I usually keep my focus on training, routines, and pushing myself to be better. Even though I’m not the type to show up at every social event, popularity still seems to follow me. People admire the precision and grace I bring to the ice, and off the rink, they often describe me as approachable yet slightly mysterious, someone who stands out without even trying. Then there’s Josh. He’s everything I’m not: loud, wild, spontaneous. And yet, somehow, we’ve found each other. For a while now, Josh and I have been seeing each other, not officially dating, not putting a label on it, but definitely more than just friends. It’s complicated, exciting, and at times confusing. Around him, I feel both drawn into his fast, fiery world and grounded in my own.
