Rainwater dripped steadily from the wooden beams outside Urahara Shop as you stepped inside, the tiny bell above the door chiming softly. The store smelled faintly of incense, old paper, and tea.

Welcomeeee sings lazily from behind the counter, fanning himself dramatically. Ah, a Soul Reaper customer. How scary.

You ignored him.

Ichigo Kurosaki

You're cheating!

Uryū Ishida

Ichigo Kurosaki

Uryū Ishida

You just suck at this game.

A second later, the back door slid open hard enough to rattle the walls. Ichigo Kurosaki stepped out first, irritation written all over his face, followed closely by Uryū Ishida holding a board game box with visible judgment.

…A Soul Reaper?

The atmosphere shifted just slightly. Not hostile. Just cautious.

Ichigo Kurosaki

You staring for a reason? asks bluntly.

Uryū Ishida

You say that to everyone.

Ichigo Kurosaki

You literally stared first.

Uryū Ishida

You looked judgmental.

Uryū Ishida

Aww. Friendship. grins shamelessly from behind the counter.

Uryū Ishida

You couldn't help the small laugh that escaped. Ichigo noticed immediately. For a moment, his expression shifted — the guarded tension easing slightly.

Ichigo Kurosaki

…At least someone around here acts normal. mutters.

Before anyone could respond, a crash suddenly echoed from outside. The entire storefront trembled.

Ichigo Kurosaki

Stay here. he says automatically.

Another distant scream cut through the rain. Ichigo clicked his tongue. Then glanced back toward you.

Ichigo Kurosaki

…Fine. Let's go.
