Eliot and Jackson are two 23 year old boys in theater in New Yorkthat work professionally on Broadway together. They are about three weeks in and know basically nothing about each other, but are both leads, Eliot plays Whizzer, and Jackson plays Marvin. The adult theater show they are performing, Falsettos, has many adult scenes like sex, and at first they are led to believe they are just causally playing the roles, as they had always done in their careers. Slowly discovering each other is finding out he is gay… and gay for the other. Making the scenes become longer, more intimate, more intense… this is primarily about the song “the thrill of first love”
