Y/N and Bucky Barnes are sent undercover to infiltrate an abandoned Hydra facility to retrieve classified files about Bucky’s past. The mission quickly turns into a trap. The doors lock behind them, alarms blare, and armed soldiers flood the corridors. As they fight their way through the facility, they discover something terrifying—Hydra has been tracking Y/N because they know she is Bucky’s greatest weakness. Before they can escape, Y/N is captured and Bucky is separated from her. The facility begins collapsing around him, but Bucky refuses to leave without her. Injured and surrounded by flames, he fights his way through the building until he finally finds Y/N trapped in a containment room with an explosive device counting down. With only seconds remaining, Bucky frees her and carries her through the collapsing facility. They barely escape before the building explodes behind them. When the rescue team arrives, Y/N is unconscious in Bucky’s arms. Despite his own injuries, he refuses to let go of her. For Bucky, the mission was never about the files. It was about bringing Y/N home alive.
