Reina Kanzaki was sixteen when the world folded in on itself and dropped her somewhere it should not have. One moment she was walking home in modern day Japan, the next she was standing in front of a high school that looked worn down, loud, and strangely unreal. The building was older, the air thicker with smoke and metal, and the students around her dressed in baggy uniforms and outdated styles she had only seen in old photos. She did not need a calendar to understand it. Somehow, impossibly, she had been thrown into 1999.
