In 1945, James Barnes was presumed dead, leaving behind the woman he loved. A year later, Eloise Campbell was taken by HYDRA and became Subject E-17, "Evergreen," kept alive through decades of experimentation and cryogenic stasis. Now, Bucky is sent to investigate a hidden HYDRA facility beneath an ordinary New York apartment building. He expects a weapon, an experiment, or a valuable asset.
