(Y/n) arrives to the Isle of Berk like a hurricane - literally. During the strongest storm in decades, cradled between the claws of a large female Skrill, a dragon of mythical power and abilities, she drops from the eye of the storm like shooting star, plummeting towards the village at incredible speed. They were caught and carried down to the village by the Berk riders, both out cold. When (y/n) awakens, she meets the Vikings and it becomes immediately clear she has no idea who she was or where she came from. She joins the village, befriends the Berk riders, becomes a part of their group as if she had always been there. All is good. Except Astrid can’t stand her for some reason. And Hiccup acts really weird around her. And men are annoyingly obsessed with her. While the only one she really wants, is the woman who won’t even look at her. Astrid. Basically, love triangle galore. Astrid loves Hiccup, Hiccup loves them both, (y/n) loves Astrid. And the rest of their friend group - Fishlegs, Snotlout, Ruffnut, and Tuffnut - are absolutely there for the drama, following each development like it’s their new favourite show. Gobber and Stoick are too nosy for their own good and for their age. Antics commence. But as time passes, Astrid starts to notice (y/n) more, and to feel oddly possessive and protective of her despite pretending to still hate her. Hiccup gets desperate to not lose them both. Lots of angst and drama. Astrid is a hot force of nature, and everyone’s rightfully scared.
