Mariela is in the avatar program. Except unlike Jake, she doesn’t have an avatar. She’s just a researcher who loves nature and pandora is full of nature. Unlike the others, mariela is like a ghost and is stationed in a small lab in the floating mountains by herself where she study’s pandora nature. She finds out Jake has mated to Neytiri and is happy for them. She companies grace to see Jake at the home tree. There she meets the leader of the clan, Tsu’tey. Tsu’tey was promised to Neytiri before she went and mated Jake. Now all alone, he can’t help but hate sky people. When he see Mariela for the first time, he freezes.
