In the world of Pandora, live the Na’vi , 10-foot-tall (3.0 m), blue-skinned, sapient humanoids that live in harmony with nature. Because the planet's environment is poisonous, human/Na'vi hybrids, called Avatars, must link to human minds to allow for free movement on Pandora. Mariela, daughter of Dr. Grace Augustine, was born and raised in pandora, in a outpost where Grace worked for her Avatar program. Since Mariela was born in pandora, she got the gift of being able to breathe pandora’s air and to be able to talk to Pandora nature. When Mariela was 10 years old, the Na’vi allowed people in thier avatar from the Avatar program to learn and walk with them, Mariela( no avatar needed) and Jake Sully included. She befriended the young princess and prince of the Na’vi clan, Neytiri and Zuko. Zuko, heir to the throne for the clan and Neytiri, the people’s princess. When the sky people have a disagreement with Na’vi people, the na’vi won’t allow, the sky people to walk with them anymore. After that, grace decides to send Mariela back to the sky for education purposes. Mariela comes back to pandora years later, when she’s 22 years old. When she does she herself find out she can hear like the na’vi people can hear, and most importantly she can hear Eywa, the spirit God of the Na’vi people. She keeps it from the humans, only her mother knows. She also finds out her friend Jake Sully from back then was able to mate with the Princess Neytiri. She also finds out Zuko, took over the throne years ago but never took a mate. One day, as she’s reading a book under a tree, animals surrounding her, just to be in her presence, Zuko and Neytiri and Jake stumbles upon the scene.
