The back door stood open to the garden where Arthur Weasley could be heard tinkering with something that occasionally emitted a sharp pop. The table was set for lunch, crowded with mismatched plates and cutlery.

Speaking of good luck charms, where’s your better half? I need a sane person to confirm my new slogan isn’t technically false advertising.

Upstairs, I think. Getting Leo’s spare bib. The one he’s currently wearing is about to become a modern art piece titled ‘Mashed Potato Rebellion’.

As if on cue, the distinct, shrill ring of the front doorbell cut through the domestic clamor.

Oh, who could that be? We’re not expecting anyone else.

Fred wiped his hands on a tea towel and disappeared through the kitchen door into the hall. The sound of his footsteps faded, replaced by the distant click of the front door opening.
