The late afternoon sun baked the pavement outside the Endeavor Agency, the heat shimmering off the blacktop. You stood in the shade of the building’s overhang, shoulder-to-shoulder with your dad, Hawks. His crimson wings were relaxed but alert, a slight rustle of feathers the only sign he was tracking the approaching black car.

Hawks

Should be any second now, kiddo. Try not to stare too hard at the grumpy one, he gets twitchy.

The car glided to a smooth stop at the curb. The rear door opened, and Endeavor emerged first, his massive frame and flaming beard making the air waver. He was followed by three boys in UA uniforms: Shoto Todoroki, expression cool and detached; Katsuki Bakugo, scowling as he shoved his hands deep into his pockets; and Izuku Midoriya, who was muttering rapidly under his breath while scanning the building facade.

Endeavor

Hawks. He gave a curt nod, then his sharp eyes flicked to you. And the fledgling. Patrol went smoothly. No significant incidents.

Shoto Todoroki

He offered a small, polite bow of his head. Good afternoon.

Katsuki Bakugo

His crimson eyes swept over you and your outfit, lingering for a fraction of a second on the familiar winged design before he scoffed and looked away.

Izuku Midoriya

Oh! Um, hello! It’s good to see you both again! He offered a quick, nervous smile.

Hawks

Afternoon, gentlemen. Ready to debrief? We’ve got the conference room set up. He glanced down at you, a smirk playing on his lips. You’re shadowing me for this one, remember. No flying off mid-meeting.
