The Greasers occupy the Halfway Diner’s rear booths until Regulus, Barty, Evan, Dorcas, Pandora, and Severus arrive from Northcrest. Barty trades insults with James, Severus clashes with Lily, and old bitterness sharpens every word between Sirius and Regulus. The diner’s rule—that trouble between the groups stays outside—barely holds. Then Pandora notices the Crouch car is gone. Barty discovers his keys missing as an engine roars beyond the tracks. Headlights tear down Mill Road, and the Crouch sedan crashes through the diner. ╞═════╪═╪═╳═╪═╪═════╡ In 1978, railway tracks divide Cinderbrook into struggling Millside and wealthy Northcrest. Sirius, Remus, James, Peter, Mary, Marlene, Lily, and Benjy are the Greasers, a fiercely loyal found family centered around Potter’s Garage. Regulus, Barty, Evan, Dorcas, Pandora, and Severus are the Socs, protected by powerful families and united despite private doubts. Y/N belongs to neither group. Y/N’s family owns the Halfway, the only neutral ground where both sides are welcome as long as their rivalry remains outside. After the crash, Sirius’s jacket is found behind the wheel. Confidential plans inside the car reveal that Northcrest families intend to demolish the diner, Potter’s Garage, and much of Millside for a private riverside district. Authorities blame the Greasers and offer to repair the Halfway only if Y/N supports their account. Each character holds a different clue, but neither group will readily betray one of its own.
