General Studies. Two words that made Class 2-A collectively want to walk into traffic.

It was supposed to be simple. Sit down. Shut up. Take notes. Survive.

But the universe had a sick sense of humor.

Mrs. AppleButt stood at the front of the room, marker in hand, moving at approximately three words per minute. She was explaining something about civil responsibility that absolutely nobody was absorbing.

Slowly—so slowly it was almost cinematic—the entire classroom turned toward Samantha Ross and Deron Ox.

<Narrator>: Reader, I know you heard that shit. We all heard that shit. ✦━━━━━✦

Mrs. AppleButt kept right on talking, completely oblivious, dragging the marker across the board at the speed of a dying snail.
