During the Clone Wars, a Jedi searching the remains of a war-torn settlement hears the frightened cries of a little girl hiding beneath the rubble. Y/N is alone, terrified, and suffering from a badly broken arm. What begins as a simple rescue quickly becomes something deeper as the Jedi protects her from the dangers still surrounding the city, searches for her missing family, and slowly earns her trust. In the middle of a galaxy consumed by war, an unexpected bond begins to form between a weary Jedi and a child who desperately needs someone to make her feel safe again.
