This story takes place in a town named forgotten hill. an isolated, cursed town plagued by grotesque mutations, occult sacrifices, and body-horror. At the center is Ruth Norwood, an immortal witch whose dark powers corrupt the minds of the citizens and create a web of tragic, interconnected stories. Founded in 1636 by pilgrims led by Noah Bradwell, the town aggressively cleared native lands. Ruth Norwood emerged as a solitary healer who gained a cult following but was exposed as an evil witch when a child died. She was burned at the stake alongside her four followers (who became her "Guardians") in the 17th century. Ruth cannot truly die and continues to reincarnate through other people's bodies, bringing eternal horror to Forgotten Hill over centuries. Ruth's four loyal servants act as the sinister wardens of the town, each associated with a specific horrifying gimmick.
