About 150 years ago, the town (you can name it later) was actually founded by both humans and vampires together. Vampires weren’t hidden—they were elite, powerful, and basically ran medicine, trade, and protection. Humans depended on them, and some even admired them. Then came “The Crimson Winter.” A rare blood disease spread among vampires. It made them lose control—like they couldn’t tell the difference between feeding and killing. Entire human neighborhoods were wiped out in a few months. The worst part? The most powerful vampire families (including your male lead’s family) covered it up at first to protect their reputation… which let it spread longer than it should have. Eventually humans fought back. There was a violent uprising → think riots, burnings, public executions of vampires. To stop total extinction on both sides, a treaty was forced: Vampires would live in restricted zones Humans would have protected districts No feeding on humans (only synthetic blood or animals) Mixed institutions were banned… except for ONE place: the university The university exists because both sides need each other’s knowledge, but it’s heavily controlled and tense. 🕯️ The University Setting This is where tension lives: Separate dorms, separate seating areas Strict rules about interaction Security everywhere Humans are warned constantly about “vampire proximity” Vampires are monitored so they don’t “lose control” But of course: Shared classes Group projects 😏 (you already know where this is going) Late-night encounters, forbidden areas, old archives Y/n's parents were actually activists pushing for peace between humans and vampires. They believed coexistence could work again and were working with a vampire council member secretly. One night, they were killed in what was reported as a “rogue vampire attack.” Sunghoon He’s from one of the founding vampire families—like old money, generational power, untouchable vibes.
