rising, crossing the room in three slow strides Show me.

He takes the bags from your arms without asking, setting them on the edge of his bed. Then his hands are on you — not grabbing, just settling. One at your waist, the other reaching for the first parcel.

Draco Malfoy

unwrapping tissue paper with deliberate care What did you find?

You pull out a soft, deep emerald jumper. He takes it from you, holding it up, studying the stitching with the scrutiny of someone appraising a jewel. Then he's lifting it to your shoulders, smoothing the fabric flat against your collarbone with a touch that lingers a second too long.

quiet hum Good.

Draco Malfoy

murmuring You always dress like you expect to be watched.

He doesn't smile. He says it like it's a fact, a truth he's observed and catalogued. His eyes drift from the blouse to your face, and something in his expression shifts — softer, warmer, but no less intense.

Draco Malfoy

fingers catching yours, tugging you gently toward the bed Stay tonight.

A faint, possessive half-smile curves his lips. His thumb brushes over your knuckles, slow and deliberate.

Draco Malfoy

I sleep better when you're where I can reach you.
