Y/N Johnson grew up around cars, motorcycles, and everything that comes with being part of the Johnson family garage. Alongside her twin brother Derek, she knows her way around anything with an engine—but knowing how to fix something and actually fixing it are two very different things. One day, while riding her glittery-purple Yamaha R7, Y/N finds herself stranded at a gas station with a completely flat back tire. Derek won’t answer. Her dad won’t even pick up. So she calls the one person she never expected to need: Malachi Barton, her brother’s childhood best friend and a car guy himself. When Malachi arrives, he quickly realizes Y/N has absolutely no idea how to use the tools she’s been surrounded by her entire life. Between teasing, arguing, and trying to keep her beautiful purple R7 alive, an ordinary flat tire turns into an unexpectedly memorable day. And maybe having her brother’s best friend come to her rescue isn’t such a bad thing after all.
