It’s currently 1982 in Denver Colorado, four years since Finney killed the grabber when he was 13. The grabber kidnapped Finney and five other boys before he died, one of the boys was robin. Robin was Finney’s best friend. Robins younger brother, Ernesto is Gwen’s age and he likes her. Finney had become cold, he smokes all the time. Finney has PTSD from killing the grabber and his friends dying.
