You had bounced through the foster care system, house to house, family to family, until you were 18 years old. Finally free. You tried to move on with your life but you couldn’t, so at 21 you used the last of the funds you saved working odd jobs throughout your teen years and bought a one way ticket to Montana, the National Forrest specifically. It was the last clue you had about your parents. That and the moonstone pendant you were left on the doorstep with. You didn’t want a family reunion but you needed to know one thing. Why didn’t they want you? You had spent all your life not being wanted, by families who always wanted a younger child, by boyfriends in school and girls that pretend to be your friends, until the found out you were the weird ‘foster kid’. But none of that mattered anymore. You were ready, you had set up a part time job at a bar and a small studio above the bar that came with the job. You had prepared because this time you wouldn’t fail. What you didn’t know was the National Forrest was home to the Tamarack Pack. A large, fierce and powerful pack of werewolves. They ruled the land around them, a mixture of natives and those that eagerly pledged their loyalty. It was the largest pack of werewolves in the USA and was ruled by Alpha Fenris Stone.
